What are some natural hair products?

Natural ingredients & products can be some of  the best treatments for your hair, skin, or body care. Such products offer can offer wonderful benefits in a convenient and cost effective way.

Before we proceed, you should understand that these natural ingredients can be used directly as 'natural hair products.'  You can also  mix more than one ingredient to get the desired results. So, for first-time users, take a few trials and errors to see which natural product or treatment works for your hair. But after a few attempts, you can master these hacks and bring more shine, better health, and smoothness to your hair.

So, without further delay, let's discuss "What are some natural hair products?"

Rosemary Oil

This essential oil can help you treat limp or unstructured hair. Your hair may feel limp due to too much product build-up. But do not worry because Rosemary Oil can help you as a natural product remover and bring back life to your hair.

Simply mix a few drops of Rosemary Oil well with Apple Cider Vinegar, apply it to your scalp, and then rinse. This natural treatment will remove almost all the dust and dirt in your hair and braids.

But before you do that, ensure your skin and scalp are not allergic to either Rosemary Oil or Apple Cider Vinegar.

Yogurt can help you treat your dehydrated hair as it contains lactic acid, which is known to hydrate hair and prevent frizz while adding moisture. You can use it as Yogurt Hair Mask. The best thing about a Yogurt mask is you can add & mix any ingredients to it to achieve your desired hair-care goal. For example, incorporating Avocados into this mask can add more shine and strength to your hair. For a PH balance, you can squeeze in lemons and limes. While for ultimate shine, add a light organic oil such as sunflower (seed) oil or sunflower seed.

Once you have mixed your desired ingredient with Yogurt, leave the mask (on your hair) for 20-25 minutes and rinse it. Enjoy the beautiful hair!

Rice Water

With Rice Water, you make your hair healthier or enhance its beauty.

The credit goes to the starchy water left once you remove the grain. In addition, it has many vitamins, such as B, E, Amino acids, and minerals. These natural ingredients help hair to be smoother, stronger, and shinier.

To prepare Rice Water, you must take a cup of rice (ensure they are not cooked) and rinse it thoroughly. Later, pour in 3-4 cups of fresh water and let sit for some time, say 20-30 minutes. After that, fill the same water into a clean spray bottle.

Now here is how to use it. First, wash your hair (you can use the same shampoo), and spray the same rice on your scalp and hair. Then, for better results, massage it.

Leave it for 20-25 minutes before you rinse it. After that, you can skip conditioners as you don't need to use them.

Olive Oil

Our many previous blogs discussed Olive Oil's importance because it has fatty acids and antioxidants. And these core properties of Olive Oil can help you strengthen your hair while fighting free radicals and impurities.

Additionally, it can also help you treat over-processed and damaged hair. To use it as a mask, mix 1-2 tablespoons of natural honey with half an Avocado and a spoonful of oil. Apply the mixture and rinse it after leaving it for 15-20 minutes.

Ensure you are not allergic to Olive Oil before opting for this mask.

Coconut Oil

If there are one of the most versatile and natural (hair care) products that any expert can recommend without much thinking and calculation is coconut oil!

For example, you can use it to care for skin and hair, cooking, cleaning, and conditioning your hair.

Since it has Lauric Acid, it allows (coconut) oil to be easily absorbed into your hair shaft. Thus, making it an excellent choice for reducing protein loss caused by sun exposure, heat, or chemical treatment.

A coconut Oil mask can also help you treat your hair if they get flaky soon after the weather drops. It can exfoliate and moisturize the scalp while leaving a soothing aroma of its fragrance.

To make a coconut oil hair mask, add 1-2 tablespoons of raw Coconut Oil (try to find virgin coconut oil) in 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and 5-6 drops of peppermint oil. Massage the solution on your scalp for a few minutes, says 5-10, and then rinse it.

Who doesn't like butter! It is rich and creamy and can add softness to your natural hair. You may be surprised, but using butter to moisturize your hair is a long-standing practice many societies worldwide follow. This is because butter helps you protect your hair from sun damage and add moisture to their hair.

To harness its benefits for hair, take a few spoonfuls of butter. First, ensure the butter is at room temperature. Then Rub it into your hair and then cover your head. Finally, you can use a shower cap to wrap your head.

Leave your head covered for about an hour, then wash it as usual. And you are done!

Raw egg is considered a brilliant hair care solution. If you can tolerate the natural smell of eggs, it is one of the best natural remedies to deep condition your hair without chemicals.

The yolk is rich in protein and fats and is a natural moisturizing element. While the white helps remove unwanted oils, and it also contains bacteria-eating enzymes.

If you just want to nourish and condition your hair, use an entire egg for the same purpose. Use white for other specific purposes, such as to treat oily hair. And, to moisturize your dry & brittle hair, we have the yolk.

To apply, blend/mix approximately 1/2 cup of egg mixture into your damp hair. You can use more if there isn't enough egg to cover your hair and scalp. Leave the coat for 15-20 minutes, then rinse it with clean & normal-temperature water. Later you can shampoo your hair.

Once a month, you can try whole egg and yolk-only treatments, while white-only treatment is suitable for every two weeks.

Banana is a high-nutrient and potassium-packed fruit that helps to regular our body. And for the same reasons & benefits, banana is a fantastic choice for hair care and hair mask.

It also contains mineral silica that helps the body synthesize collagen. And collagen is well-known to give strength and thickness to your hair.

To make a banana mask, blend half a cup of coconut milk with two ripe bananas. Once the blend is ready, apply it to your hair and cover them up. Leave this coat untouched for 30-40 minutes, then wash it.

It helps moisturize your hair and relieve dry & itchy scalp.

Lemon Juice

Lemon is rich in vitamins C because it is a citrus fruit. So, to fight winter dryness, treat your hair with a blend of lemon juice and essential oil such as Olive Oil. This is because the acidity in lemon juice can help your scalp get rid of any loose & dry flakes of skin. While Olive Oil offers the same benefits discussed above, such as moisturizing your scalp and (newly exposed) skin.

To apply this natural hair care solution, mix 2-3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice with the same amount of Olive Oil and the exact amount of water.

Mix the solution well before you apply it to your damp scalp through massage. Let this mixture be on the scalp for 20-30 minutes before rinsing, then shampoo it.

The best part about the lemon juice treatment is; you can apply it every other week!
