Physician-Invented | Patent-Backed | Ophthalmologist-Tested

MD Lash Factor® is the original physician-formulated eyelash conditioner, developed by Dr. Susan Lin, M.D. Protected by US Patent 8,206,695, it is built around dechloro ethylcloprostenolamide, a cosmetic-grade prostaglandin analogue developed by Dr. Lin. It contains no prostaglandin analogue used for the treatment of glaucoma — no bimatoprost, travoprost, latanoprost or unoprostone — and no prescription drug of any kind.

Why Doctors Choose MD®

  • Measured in a published trial: in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study, four weeks of nightly use produced statistically significant increases in eyelash length of 42% to 53% across the active groups, against 20% for placebo. All patients reported an improved appearance in the length of their lashes. Lash length was measured with microcalipers to 0.1 mm at six locations per eye, by technicians blinded to treatment assignment.
  • Examined by an ophthalmologist: in an independent four-week ocular safety evaluation of 35 subjects under Institutional Review Board oversight, there were no clinically significant changes in visual acuity, tear film break-up time or intraocular pressure, and no corneal abnormalities or superficial punctate keratopathy on slit lamp examination.
  • Suitable for contact lens wearers: that study included contact lens wearers, non-wearers and people with self-assessed sensitive eyes, with no changes in contact lens colour, scratches or deposits after four weeks of use.
  • Tested for tolerance: a repeat insult patch test in 209 subjects found no clinically significant potential for dermal irritation or sensitization. Independently assessed as non-cytotoxic, non-sensitising and non-mutagenic.
  • What to expect: some users notice mild irritation when starting. In our published trial this was transient and typically resolved within a few days of continued use. Apply one stroke along the upper lash line — more is not better.

User Experience Results

DIVE INTO THE EVIDENCE

MD Lash Factor Eyelash Serum underwent a four-week, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical study with 34 subjects, showing statistically significant increases in eyelash length of 42% to 53% across the active groups, against 20% for placebo.

· Dechloro Ethylcloprostenolamide – The patented active (U.S. Patent 8,206,695), a cosmetic-grade prostaglandin analogue developed by Dr. Susan Lin, M.D. and the compound evaluated in the published 2008 clinical trial.

· Biotin (Vitamin B7) – Strengthens lash roots by supporting keratin production, helping lashes appear thicker and more resilient over time.

· Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) – Deeply hydrates and conditions brittle lashes, improving flexibility and reducing breakage for a fuller lash line.

· Thiotaine – A natural antioxidant derived from mushrooms that helps protect lashes from oxidative stress, free radical damage, and the effects of over-processing.

How to Use

Follow these simple steps to incorporate MD Lash Factor Eyelash Conditioner into your nightly routine:

Step 1 – Wash and dry your face thoroughly to remove any makeup or skincare residue.

Step 2 – Remove contact lenses, if applicable. Use the serum as the final step before going to bed.

Step 3 – Using the precision applicator, apply a thin, precise line of MD Lash Factor Eyelash Conditioner directly along the base (root) of the upper lash line, as you would apply liquid eyeliner. Avoid applying to the lash tips.

Step 4 – Do not apply to lower lashes. When eyes are closed during sleep, sufficient product is transferred naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions

MD Lash Factor is physician-formulated and ophthalmologist-tested. In an independent four-week ocular safety evaluation of 35 subjects under Institutional Review Board oversight with board-certified ophthalmologist supervision, no clinically significant change in visual acuity, tear film break-up time or intraocular pressure was observed under study conditions. If you wear contact lenses, have an eye condition or are under an eye care professional's care, check with them before use.

Apply once nightly to clean, dry skin along the upper lash line using the supplied fine-tip applicator. One stroke per eye is enough. Avoid applying directly into the eye. Allow the serum to absorb before applying other eye products.

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study, four weeks of nightly use produced statistically significant increases in eyelash length of 42% to 53% across the active groups, against 20% for placebo. All patients reported an improved appearance in the length of their lashes. Individual results vary with natural lash cycles and consistency of use.

New users often start with the 1.5 ml 6-Week Starter ($55). The 2.95 ml 3-Month ($99) is our most popular trial size. The 5.91 ml 6-Month ($140) is best value across a full lash cycle. The 6.91 ml Gold Edition ($299) is our largest, most advanced size, ideal for committed users and gifting.

MD Lash Factor is the formulation behind a peer-reviewed clinical trial. Its active is dechloro ethylcloprostenolamide, a cosmetic-grade prostaglandin analogue developed by Dr. Susan Lin, M.D. and protected by U.S. Patent 8,206,695. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, four weeks of nightly use produced statistically significant increases in eyelash length of 42% to 53% across the active groups, against 20% for placebo, measured with microcalipers by blinded technicians. What sets it apart is not a different category of ingredient — it is that the formulation was studied, published, and examined by an ophthalmologist under IRB oversight, and that we publish what those studies found, including what they did not measure.

The case design is not same with what I ordered from MD-factor.com

Hello, Please see the attachment. Left one is what I ordered before and right one is what I ordered this time from you. There is R on the left one, but there is no R on the right one. I wonder if the right one without R is also Genuine product made by MD Factor. And if the right one is also Genuine product, could you tell me why there is no R on the product? Thank you.

No Results!!

Before I tried this lash conditioner, I had use another one similar. This one does not burn your eyes if you get some in it, like the other brand did. I used this product for over 4 weeks and saw no results. I would apply this product to my lashes at every night before bed.

Only time will tell.

I got this MD lash factor eyelash conditioner to help grow and strengthen my eyelashes as I have had a loss and a lot of breakage from removing my waterproof mascara. I have sensitive skin so I did test this on one eye first before using on both and I had no reactions. A little goes a long way. It is clear and goes on just like eyeliner above the lashes. This bottle is a three month supply. It is pricey, but only time will tell if it works to help grow the lashes.

Its working !

I started to use this product daily and after a week I started to get bummed because I wasn't noticing any improvement on length or volume but by week three I was putting on my mascara and was like oh hi lashes! In the attached photo was week four, there is a significant change in length for sure and I've also noticed less shedding! I have very sensitive skin and have had no reactions using this thus far!

It Works With Consistent Use

My wife is someone with very thin eye lashes that are hard to see. So when she tried the MD Lash Factor Eyelash Conditioner, she was happy to see her lashes become thicker and more noticeable over time (see photo after several weeks use without mascara). This conditioner really works! At first, it made my wife's upper eyelash line look pinkish, but after a few days, her skin got used to the serum and everything went fine. It didn't irritate her skin or cause any skin anomalies. She applied the conditioner religiously every morning for several weeks and was happy to see her thin lashes morph into healthy ones that look great without mascara. They appear fresh and more conspicuous. It's easy to apply, like putting liquid eyeliner on the upper lash line. My only contention is I think it's on the pricey side and to keep it up is an expensive proposition. However, it lives up to its claims and delivers on providing healthier, longer lashes with consistent use. I wouldn't expect lashes to look like falsies, but it does make them look much better. Not Disappointed...

While I think that this might be a bit overpriced, so far I'm not disappointed in the product. This eye lash conditioner seems to work as long as you use it continuously. What I really like about it is that it's fine for people who wear contacts, like I do. Most products I'm wary of, but this one did not irritate my eyes. You need to use it both morning and night, and you will see a difference in your lashes. Mine were getting thinner and this seems to plump them (I won't wear artificial lashes). So I do like this product, and will continue to use it.

Damaged good...😯

I bought this order for my sister who lives in Argentina. And I got a picture of one of the bottles showing a damage at the bottle neck portion. My sister has carried them with her when she returned back to Argentina. How can I get a replacement or refund for this one.

Great results!

My lashes were destroyed by false eyelashes, so I needed something to strengthen them and grow them back out. Gave this a try and it has been a game changer. So happy with the results and noticed a difference within weeks of use. Been using it about 4 months now. I had to come back and review this to show photos!

Defective Product

It is the second time I buy this product, and I do it to donate to a lady with cancer, in Peru. The first one I bought came out with lumps and the lady was not happy. As I travel constantly, I decided to buy it again, I did not call because your answer would be that the warranty has already passed. But this is not a warranty problem, but of quality. I mention it with property because I am a member of ASQ (American Society for Quality), for more than 30 years. I hope this second product is the good one and I can see the lady smile ... I don't know how much longer.

A lot of money to spend for a product that does not work

I could have easily put coconut oil on my eyelashes and got a better result than this product i spent $120 on. They asked for a review response a week after I started using this product and I am not sure what they really expected this product to do for me within a week.

Does this tiny tube work?

Although an eyelash raising $99 at the time of this review, made in USA MD claims this teeny tube will last three months, or just over a buck a day. We urge founder Susan Lin and good folks at MD to list the full ingredients list here since so many of us want to know exactly what’s going on our beautiful faces—especially next to precious and beautiful eyes. That’s true whether the product costs and eye-popping $792 an ounce like this one, or for any healthcare item at all. Surprisingly, with what should be unnecessary detective work, my wife and I encountered just the product highlights at the company website, including Thiotaine. A trade name for Ergothioneine, it is an antioxidant derived from mushrooms. The product also contains a good version of Vitamin B, Biotin that it good for hair health yet no miracle grower. A great many of us would never order a high-end skincare item without knowing more.

Very expensive for the results

At first it causes irritation. It did not work as well as they mentioned in the forums. There really were few results. For me it was not worth paying. Very expensive for the results.

Just your average lash conditioner... & itchy!

I really like face masks by this brand, so I was excited to try their lash conditioner. It’s not very cheap, but it’s big… Big enough for three months of nightly use ($33/month). The most annoying thing is that the directions for use are not on the tube or box; there’s a pamphlet inside the box. It was incredibly difficult to remove, and I ended up having to rip the box up to get it out. There’s not much inside the pamphlet, just directions and a disclaimer. To use this, apply a thin line along your upper lashes (like eyeliner) nightly before bed. It’s best to use this on a freshly washed face and remove contacts prior to applying it. The tube is very nice and looks high end; the brush is also a good size and holds the right amount of product. You really don’t need much! The less, the better (don’t apply more and more because you hope it’ll work better or faster). THIS IS SIMPLY A LASH CONDITIONER. It’s not a lash growth formula, and won’t help you if you have hair loss issues, bald spots, etc. This is actually written into the disclaimer in the pamphlet! Now, if your lashes are healthier, of course they’ll grow in better and look nicer. But will this give you a thick, false-lash look? Not sure about that. Only time will tell... My only concern is that it might irritate sensitive eyes. I do NOT have sensitive skin or eyes, but found myself itching my eyelids after using it. 😩 They feel tight and a bit scratchy. I’d much rather spend $50 more and get a lash growth serum like RevitaLash. I’ve used that in the past and had phenomenal results! Latisse is a bit riskier as far as side effects, but also effective at growing thick, long, and dark lashes. I’ll keep trying this and update if I see any dramatic results. Hope this helps! ☺️
