MD® Follicle Energizer

I'm not as hopeful with this product 'MD Follicle Energizer' now as I was initially. The application could be better. You're supposed to click the bottom (see photos) which pushes serum into the tip/bristles. You then apply that where needed. It does help to make things less messy. But it also makes it more difficult for me to get clean lines on my scalp like I want because I'm working with this big brush tip. That's personal preference, I don't believe everyone will feel this way. This is step #4 in MD's 5 step hair regrowth routine. I wasn't aware there were other steps (#1.revitalizing shampoo #2.revitalizing conditioner #3.scalp essential #4.follicle Energizer *this product* #5.nutri hair). The box says: for adults only. Apply one click to troubled area of scalp. For best results use in conjunction with MD Hair Care System. I will say, this is weightless. I have thin hair (I guess that tidbit kinda goes without saying) and I can't tell I've used this because it's so lightweight). It does make my hair look a little greasy - not severely so, but enough that I will only use this at night time. There's no scent that I've noticed. This is said to cleanse and moisturize the scalp to promote healthy looking hair. I don't know about all that. But I do like MD skincare products (LOVE is a better word for me here than like) so I'm willing to continue along with this for a while even though I won't be doing the full 5 step routine. I expect to see results (if any) after 4 weeks of use. So, I'll see ya in 4 weeks to let ya know how it all goes!

⚠️First I want to start by saying this does not cure alopecia, nor will it help you regrow hair follicles that have died due to genetic reasons.⚠️ With that in mind, who is this product for, and what does it do? Well, the product has certain ingredients that work to make whatever hair you currently have appear and feel healthier. If you hair is thinking due to things like stress, deficiencies, or dealing with a harsh environment, it has properties to lend a hand to whatever hair folicules you have left and in a way protect them. So conclusion, this is a complement for non-genetic causes of hair loss and IMO you should get use it only if you have ruled out genetics as the cause for your concern. If you do use it, it seems to take a while in order for you to see mild results.

I was excited to use this product when I bought it by looking at the ingredients. However, I received product with expiry date in May ,2020 while order was placed in august 2020

I have always been worried about the scarcity/thinning of my hair near the forehead. So it was great to see that MD has this hair care product. I’ve been using it for two weeks now, once before going to bed every night. It has a very convenient design and can apply directly to the scalp with the brush. design. After each use, I rinse the bristles with water and then wipe them dry with paper towels. But need to very gentle otherwise the bristles will fall off as shown in picture. After two weeks now use I’m sad to report nothing has changed yet, I will continue to use it, hoping for a miracle!

I had a bit of thinning in the front of my hair from some health problems. It started to grow back within the last 6-8 months, but the growth was taking forever and was still on the thin side. So I thought this stuff would work based on reviews. I used it one time, last night, and followed the directions exact. I woke up this morning and a significant amount of my hair is gone. Overnight, 8 months worth of growth just fell out and the only change in my routine or products was using this stuff. Now, this might just be a fluke and I could have personally had a bad reaction to it. However, it’s disheartening nonetheless since it destroyed months worth of growth and now I’m back to square one. Picture number one is of me just yesterday morning. Pic number two is immediately upon waking up this morning, roughly 24 hours later and 6 hours after applying the product. I’m not saying it doesn’t work, it just didn’t work for me, and I’m not about to keep using it for 29 more days to see if this was only a one time thing.

I got MD Follicle Energizer Natural Hair Growth Serum. The serum came in a tube that is very convenient to use, you just press at the bottom and get the right amount of serum on the brush on top. The serum is transparent and has a slightly perceptible pleasant smell. There is a slight cool sensation when applied to the head. This naturally liquid evaporates and this feeling is created. After that, I didn't feel anything. I used it as indicated in the instructions for about a month until it ended. Much to my chagrin, it doesn't work for me. I saw absolutely no difference. After reading the reviews of other people, I came to the conclusion that 30 days is a short time to see the result, some write about visible results after 3 months. Well, it’s possible. But I definitely have no result after 30 days of use. I think 30 days should have given at least some result and hope. I don't want to risk wasting money.

I received an expired product. I used it anyway and have not really noticed a difference after a month. I do like the application process, it allows the product to go on the scalp and not all in your hair. Unfortunately it has not done anything, whether this is from being expired I dont know.

Pros: *I noticed the very next day my hair shed significantly less in the shower *Natural ingredients Cons: *Very little product for high cost *My scalp required way more then the recommended one pump (more like 4-5 pumps every night) *Requires long term use to see little hair growth results *If you’re sensitive to scents this may bother you a little. Immediately when I tried this it has a very distinctive odor which reminded me of another hair peptide serum currently in my cabinet. After researching and comparing the ingredients side by side this is similar to the ordinary’s hair peptide serum. The consistency of this is a thick gel compared to the ordinary which is a light and watery like. For the little amount in each bottle along with expensive cost I will stick with the other brand which you get a lot more product and saves me thirty-one dollars.

Already have seen an improvement on my hair it looks and feels thicker with each day that goes by, little stubbles are starting to come in and the hair is looking fuller, very easy to apply definitely a good product!

The problem spot I’ve applied this to shows some sign of thickening follicles. The initial application didn’t work as the instructions claimed and I required a second button press before I began to feel something being applied to my scalp by the bottle brush. First usage was a little awkward but subsequent use became easier and now I prefer the brush method over twist nozzles because it’s not as messy. The suggested usage doesn’t mention it but the bottle moistens the brush better when upside-down. An interesting product but as the instructions declare it could require using many bottles to see significant results. The bottle I have expires about a year from its receipt.

Due to constant stress I’ve been noting A lot of areas of hair thinning so I decided to give this a try. Although this is still early to notice any major changes given this is recommended for 30 days use before you see changes, and one of these tubes actually has enough application for 30 days. So I’ll report back and see! It is a little tricky to figure out because there isn’t a specific instruction except apply to the hair follicle areas, however on my first application I felt a little tingly in the areas Applied. The tube actually can be opened up so you can see the contents inside (see first picture). In order for you to actually apply the product for the brand new tube you do have to pump it, or click three times before the product actually is registered in the applicator tip area. You can see from the brush on the third picture that finally the product does make it into the brush. My only issue with this is that this is slightly sticky and does leave a slightly fishy scent on your scalp, so it may not be so pleasant to go out with this product applied on you.

I think the overall product is ok. It will take time to see the actual results. The container is a bit confusing to use because different sections comes apart when I’m trying to open it to use it correctly. Eventually I got it to work, but the mechanics of the tube could be much better than it is.

The bottle is not full with product when it arrives. I took a picture of how much product you actually receive in the tube. It seems to be helping increase the amount of baby hairs on the corners of my hairline. However, it has not made much of a difference on other parts of my scalp.

It is easy to use it because of the applicator. Only one click on the bottom will push a small dose of serum and you can apply it where is needed. I have been used it for more than two weeks, I can see my new hair. I want to mention that I don't feel any scent. I don't like that this is slightly sticky. I am continuing to use that serum for better results that it is needed more than two weeks for sure.

I honestly don't see any real difference yet.

The brushing end, the applicator, is a very nice way to spread it around where you need and it’s quick and easy. To get more serum out, just push in the bottom one click and you can see it come out within the brush itself. It takes a few clicks initially to get it flowing out and then it calls for one click for the balding area and I can say that it spreads out to cover a respectable area. It’s going to to take a while and everything seems good so far but, the bottle doesn’t seem to have as much in it as the size it is so, hopefully it lasts a month and my hair is back.😁 I will happily update this if I see some decent results in a few more weeks.

About a month and half in with this product and so far no improvement,maybe it's because it's supposed to be one part in a series of their recommended hair growth system. It's best to keep this stored upside down it makes the product come out faster, it does require two to three primer pumps to get the serum flowing. I dont notice much of a scent and I like the feel and function of the applicator brush tip. The gel is cool and refreshing on my scalp upon application and I'm still hoping for results. With any of these types of products it can take months to see improvements, so I'm going to stick with it for now. I'll come back and update if there ends up being any positive results.

I got this for my husband who is suffering from hair loss at the crown of his head; the ingredients looked promising so we decided to give it a try. The brush tip application is good in theory, but he said that it was a little difficult to reach all areas of his scalp without also getting a bit of product on his hair. Formula is a bit greasy as well, so take this into consideration when deciding what time of day to apply. My husband wears hats everyday for work so that didn't much matter to him. The smell of this serum is definitely strange, not in the best way, but I never noticed it unless I went up to him to smell his head, lol. So, per the directions, he's been only using one pump per application, but he said it wasn't really enough to cover all the areas that needed to be covered 🤦♀️ so he should have been using more. The amount in the tube has also lasted him a little over a month, so I'm also wondering if one click isn't dispensing the correct amount. However, after over a month's use, he hasn't noticed a visible difference and I don't see a difference unfortunately either. I wouldn't count this completely out, because like many products it may take months before seeing results. At this time I just can't justify buying another tube at $50 to test out that theory.

The bottle was only half full when I received it. Real unhappy considering how much this stuff cost. Sending it back!!!!!!

I don't think is a good product,, No result

I have used this product for a few months and have noticed considerable improvement. I've just ordered a few more. I am seeing new growth and my hair already looks fuller. One thing people should understand is that this product takes time to work. Months, not days. If you haven't regrown a full head of hair in a month, it's better to realign your expectations with the product claims before submitting an ill informed review. It's not helpful for people who might actually benefit from letting the product work. I don't review products often and have had a very positive experience and good interaction with Dr Lin and her assistant Shawna.

Since the product was expired I did not attempt to use it.
